Gabriela Sissons is an Aerial Silks artist who performs, competes, judges and teaches workshops and retreats around the globe.

​

A dancer most of her life with over 25 years of stage experience, she has been part of various dance companies in South Africa and performed in countless shows and events. Her strengths lie in her musically driven choreography and strong performance ability.

 

She has represented South Africa and competed in various Championships around the globe, including China, Russia, Thailand, Italy, South Africa, Dubai and the Philippines placing in the top 3 in every competition she has competed in and became a world champion in 2015, winning her very first aerial championship at the International PPS Aerial Championships in Hong Kong.

 

In 2017 she was a semi-finalist on the South Africa’s Got Talent television show.

Gabriela has recently claimed a World Champion title again at the 2022 World Aerial Gymnastics championships held in Dubai in the Aerial Silks and Aerial Open category.

She is also the owner of Skydancer Retreats and teaches retreats and workshops around the globe including countries like South Africa, Russia, Italy, China, Switzerland, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Mexico, India and Thailand and Ireland and is also the 1st Xpert certified instructor on the African Continent.

She has also been selected to judge several prestigious aerial competitions in the world including Airstars in China and Thailand and the APPA championships in Russia. She was recently the Head Judge at the 2022 Arnold Africa Classics held in Johannesburg, South Africa. She is also the National director of the Aerial Arts Performance Championships in South Africa.
